CRISP organizes the fourth Design Review Sessions in Amsterdam at Wednesday 24 April. The fourth of eight, this midterm DRS marks a special moment in the programme!

On the 24th of April the fourth Design Review Session was held at an extraordinary location that floats on the IJ, the river behind Amsterdam CS.

CRISP # 1 magazine is published online!
"Don't you design chairs anymore?" represents and discusses the changing role of designers due to their involvement in strategic issues and  the challenges that are involved in developing complex product service systems, like robots in healthcare.

Exciting companies in the CRISP network invite CRISP’s young generation researchers in a new series of events: CRISP Visits. It is an opportunity to meet CRISP partners you wouldn’t run into in the elevator, but should. These light-hearted functions are aimed at widening the scope of researchers and partners and for the researchers to meet their peers.

In a Cross Over workshop initiated by PJ Stappers (EB), and facilitated by Remko van der Lugt (lector co-design Hogeschool Utrecht) nineteen CRISP members (project leaders, secundants and Executive Board) built an overarching picture of CRISP and themes to address by using context mapping.

From 13 to 17 October, a new ArcInTex conference will take place at the TU Eindhoven. The conference is about shaping (un)common grounds; what happens if we blend several disciplines (e.g. textile developers, designers, electrical engineers) to work closely together to open a new world of opportunities in the textile industry.

The Dutch NWO just opened a call for proposals regarding Research Through Design. The Research Through Design programme stimulates research in the fields of architecture, fashion and industrial design. In this call, researchers from universities can propose a project within these themes. Researchers from HBO level can also participate in the call.
