Smart Textile Services meeting


A nice morning of sharing between CRISP Smart Textile Services project members took place on 4th of April, 2012 in Eindhoven Technical University, Wearable Senses theme.

Oscar Tomico (TU/e) introduced shortly the STS CRISP project, approach, partners and goals. Giving the floor to Martijn ten Bhömer (TU/e) then to speak more in detail about Smart Textiles Services for eldercare in his research context.

Marc Marin (TU/e) introduced Open Innovation strategies for Smart Textile Services while reflecting on the aspects of it within STS project.

Kristi Kuusk (TU/e) asked if Crafting smart textile product service systems could be a way towards more sustainable future and demonstrated her research journey so far.

Michelle Baggerman (DAE) spoke more about her interest as the social component of craftsmanship and how it can be seen as a service component.

Marina Toeters (Saxion) introduced the state and background of the adoption of smart textiles in the Netherlands and gave first insights into STS beta-textiles concept.

Christine de Lille (TU Delft) gave an overview of Product Service Systems and the role of the designer in those.
