OpenKnit Workshop - the Waag Society

On the 20th of October the Waag Society organises the 'OpenKnit Machine Workshop'. In collaboration with the TU/ Eindhoven and designer and tech pioneer, Gerard Rubio, the workshop will be about the possibilities of building and using your own digital knitting machine which can  produce your designs in no-time. What are the possibilities of co-ownership? What is the impact of this on design? The answers to these questions will be found by building two knitting machines with all of the project-members. The good news is, you can join them!

After building your own OpenKnit Machine, there will be a discussion about the possibilities of this new technology.

You can either register as a team (max. 8 people) and choose your own co-owner. The costs per team are 600 euro's.
You can of course also register own your own. This will cost 100 euro's. All material costs are included in the price.

For a quick demonstration on the OpenKnit Machine, you can watch the video below.
