ArcInTex Conference 13-17 October 2014

From 13 to 17 October, a new ArcInTex conference will take place at the TU Eindhoven. The conference is about shaping (un)common grounds; what happens if we blend several disciplines (e.g. textile developers, designers, electrical engineers) to work closely together to open a new world of opportunities in the textile industry.


OpenKnit Workshop - the Waag Society

On the 20th of October the Waag Society organises the 'OpenKnit Machine Workshop'. In collaboration with the TU/ Eindhoven and designer and tech pioneer, Gerard Rubio, the workshop will be about the possibilities of building and using your own digital knitting machine which can  produce your designs in no-time. Design Review Sessions 7: Design Research for Well-being

CRISP has entered its final year of research. This is the moment to give an extra push to disseminating the knowledge we gained to the community, the creative industry and the society at large.



“In just a few years time, Alice will take over the majority of our nursing activities,” states Johan Hoorn, mental father of the caredroid (care robot) based upon Hanson’s Robot Alice. Principal Investigator and Project Leader of SELEMCA (Services of Electro-Mechanical Care Agencies) Hoorn (University of Amsterdam) explains how Alice is already equipped to do basic activities.
